Today the Cooperative Bank has started their own delivery of accessible ATMs. They announced that four hundred cash machines today are now equipped to help blind and partially sighted customers to get their money out and perform other services.

These cash machines will allow a headphone to be plugged in to hear the speech instructions for the blind user, and the display screen now have a high contrast option to help partially sighted customers as well.

By the end of the year (2013), a further thousand machines will be converted, and another thousand converted during 2014. This would bring eighty percent of all their ATMs up to standard.

We will discover as soon as possible, which machines have been converted. More later.
