March and Rally,
Norwich, 22 October 2011
In May, thousands of disabled people marched in London, to speak up about planned cuts to benefits and services.
The Government are deciding on more cuts this Autumn.
We are marching in Norwich, to tell the Coalition Government that cutting services will make life very difficult for disabled people and people with long term conditions. Disabled people and their families and carers will be the Hardest Hit by cuts to benefits and services.
Disabled people, disability groups and allies from across the eastern region will be marching. Join us!

Confirmation of New Rules for Scaffold Hazard markings
by Shaun McGarry, Vice Chairman on 6th September 2011 10:06 am
Sections: Campaigns,News,Yellow Black Hazard Markings on Scaffolds
Comments: 2 See CommentsWe have received a confirmation letter from the Norfolk County Council detailing the new rules regarding the Yellow & Black hazard markings on all scaffolding for Great Yarmouth and for the rest of Norfolk as well.
They indicate that the new rules have been implemented from 1st April 2011 but they are allowing a short period of changeover time for companies to switch their existing scaffolding equipment to the new Yellow and Black markings. They will monitor the situation for now. They didn’t specify an end date!
We thank our MP, Brandon Lewis, for writing to the council to enquire of the progress of this much needed change in safety rules for these sort of obstacles on our pavements.
